The New Draper Aquarium

My mom was in town a few weeks ago, Kelsey had the
day off work, and we decided to go check out the new Aquarium.
Grandma Naylor came with us and we had a girl's date!
For $15.95 per adult I wasn't too impressed. (Mabel still got in free
thank goodness, her last month as a 2 year old!)  Maybe because my
feet are constantly swollen and walking around for hours
isn't the most enjoyable thing right now....but I was also
expecting more from the exhibits.  Mabel was really grumpy that day,
and there were 6 busloads of kids there too, so I guess we may
need to give it another chance. Several of the exhibits are still in
progress so they are letting you use your ticket stub to come
back once more for free before August 31st.

She was saying, "Glub Glub!"

Mabel said she wanted to leave the tunnel because it was
too "creepy."

I thought this rope bridge was the coolest part...

Strolling Around City Creek & Temple Square

{4.11.14}
About a month ago my step-dad was in town
for the weekend, the weather was gorgeous,
and we decided to meet for lunch
at City Creek with my grandma and Kelsey.
We strolled around temple square after,
the flowers were gorgeous!
Mabel stopped and smelled the flowers every few minutes...
she would talk to them too saying, "Cutie little flowers!"

Mandatory jumping shot...
...Mabel wanted one too.
My cute almost three year old!

Easter Celebrations

...neighborhood egg hunt...
Mabel and her friend Emri with their loot.
She got straight to business....eating all the candy.

Mabel and her friend Reese - Mabel's fake smile is killing me!

...tew family egg hunt....
The family got together for brunch and our annual egg hunt!

We Skyped with Rick and Georgia....but
of course it wasn't quite the same without them there!
Great Grandma Tew and Great Grandpa Tew gave all the grandkids suckers!

She would find an egg and promptly stop
to open it and check for candy inside.
Thankfully some of them were filled with stickers
and toys instead!

The picture where I look like a striped Easter egg.
Good times.

...easter day...

Mabel found her Easter basket early Sunday morning
and her favorite thing inside was a green harmonica!

Later after church we had my grandma, Aunt, and some cousins
over for dinner.

The weather was perfect! Nate set up the bounce house and
we decided we would eat outside.

Funny shirt Jack. :)

I made trifles for dessert....couldn't decide on fruity or chocolatey so
I made BOTH! They were so good.  I wish I had some right now.
Such a beautiful spring weekend with friends and family
celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Prophet Thomas S. Monson
said, "No words in Christendom mean more to me than those spoken by the
angel to the weeping Mary Magdalene and the other Mary when, on the
first day of the week, they approached the tomb to care for
the body of their Lord. Spoke the angel: 'Why seek ye the living
among the dead? He is not here, but is risen.' "
