our ALPHABET collection is almost complete!

all i need now is an "f" and an 'i"

my mumsie found a sprinkler "O" for me!

the "H" is hard to see but I think
it will look fine once it's on the wall

my assistant Fritz helped me arrange them

the original plans were to put these in our kid's room someday (we have been collecting for about 5 years), but Mabel's room is fairly small and the wall they would need to go on is right above where her bed will go. i wouldn't be able to sleep at night thinking about the possibility of a horseshoe "U" falling on her head! soooooo....the alphabet is going to hang on the big wall in our kitchen above the dining room table! i will take before and after pictures once we get it all finished. don't hold your breath though. :)

From A to Z...almost

Project Alphabet is almost complete!
Still in need of an F, I, O, P, R, V, and Y.

They are all sort of cramped on the living room shelves right now...I envision them covering a wall in a kids room someday but right now we just don't have the space. Our second bedroom is part baby room, part office, part storage, and part junk land.



PS: With all the rearranging/organizing we have been doing Nate finally got the chance to hang up two of his guitars. (if he reads this: yes, I know, one is actually a bass) He is a happy camper! And I am too - now that they are more accessible he has been serenading me more often. Husband singing and playing the guitar = happy momma and baby.

"Q"

While we were in Colorado a few weeks ago
my mom and I stopped by one of my favorite stores, The Barn, and
found an awesome rusty "Q" to add to my letter collection.
Can't wait until we have the whole alphabet!

Timeless Treasures

The J, M, X are the new letters I got in San Francisco from a cheerful little store called Timeless Treasures. I think they fit quite nicely into our growing collection. We have enough now to spell out a few things! (Laura how fun would that be in Max's room?) My vision is to have the whole alphabet on the wall in my creative space someday or maybe a nursery. (threw that last bit in for my mom ;)

Alphabet Soup

Got a new addition to my alphabet collection in the mail this week. The lovely lowercase "e" was a great buy off ebay - only $4.30! It's a surplus highway sign letter from New York. Only 17 letters to go! I am really wanting some bright colors in the mix so if anyone sees any spunky letters let me know. I also want to find an old round sprinkler head, like the one below, for my "O".
