~Fall Festivities~

:::pumpkin patch:::

She told me to take a picture of her like this. I said, "Okay, John Travolta."

It was a picturesque fall night at the pumpkin patch!

She was done. And hungry.

:::getting spooky:::
Mabel LOVED helping me set up the Halloween decorations.

My two punkins.
Tipsy.
Aunt Kelsey got this cute onesie for Elliott.

I love seeing the leaves turn bright red on this big tree right by
our house.
:::carving pumpkins:::

Mabel decided she wanted to paint hers with
a happy face.

Things got a little crazy with the paint....

The carving gang, plus Jocelyn and Emri
who stopped by to say hi!
That face! I just wanna kiss it all day.

Nate's alien was pretty impressive and Mike's won for most spooky.
Don't ask about my cat/bat that started out as a witch.
Ya win some ya lose some.

:::nana and grandpa kraig came to visit:::

My mom and step-dad came out for a few days to spend
Halloween with us. It was such a short visit but we loved
every minute of it.

:::mabel's halloween dance recital:::

:::church halloween party:::
TINKERBELL!!
She loved the shoes I made her.

Gettin SPICY!
Baby Owl

Mabel thought her friend Emri looked pretty spooky!

:::classic skating:::
My mom stayed with the sleeping kids while Nate and I had a date night
at Classic Skating for a friends birthday/costume party.
Skating in our costumes was pretty funny...as in we could barely
move and looked ridiculous! Good times!!

:::halloween night:::
Tinkerbell pretending to fly.

Elliott helped Great Grandma Naylor pass out candy.
Eating some of her loot!! She dug through the bowl
to find a single little Jolly Rancher that she was so excited
about.

Look alikes...

Mabel & Nate
 Elliott & Nate

 Thanks to my mother-in-law Georgia for saving Nate's darling
baby outfit all these years so we could have our kids wear it too!

Same street, same shoulder, same shirt:

Have I mentioned I am in love with this face?
I am.

misc. phone update

a bunch of phone pictures from this summer:

my dinner from the garden! (cheese was from Harmons)
So good.
Nate showing Mabel a classic movie we always quote!
(Out of the Mouth of Babes - a funny 80s video
where kids are asked LDS religious questions.)

Rainy day playing at the library. Mabel loves to "work"
on the computers. Elliott was snoozin.
Book Club at Michelle's...we read The Giver and then
went to see the movie. I loved it.
We all got sick....and then got it again.
I had it baaaaaaad one day complete with fever
and chills.

Our garden loved the September rain....we had tomatoes
growing like crazy! We emailed our friends and neighbors and
told them to stop by and help themselves to the surplus on our porch.

The Bumbo Pout. I love this picture.
Boba Balls. I ordered these off Amazaon as a sensory activity
for Mabel. They are like extra large tapioca pearls.
You boil them for 5 minutes, rinse, and play!
SQUISHY WEIRD FEELING!
It was kind of therapeutic to sit and squish them
between my fingers.
Folding laundry with my buddy.
It was Grandma Georgia's birthday so we made
her a play-doh cake and sent her this picture.
Birthday love from Utah to Austria.
My grandma got me a callous file and Mabel loves
to use it on me. Too bad she can't paint my toenails
too.
Hanging outside.
Mabel got a father's blessing from Nate before her
first day of pre-school.

Emri came over one Saturday morning and the girls made pretend
 boba soup and then had lunch on the patio.

We are sure going to miss Emri so much when she moves! :(
Sick again. Mabel had the fever this time.

This is what our Sunday looked like.
Sleeping baby.

The MOTU Visits!

My nana (the Matriarch of the Universe - aka M.O.T.U)
came to our house for a visit! Her flights worked out so she was able to
schedule a layover for a few days in Salt Lake before flying to
her final destination - my mom's house in Colorado.

She got to meet our sweet Elliott!

Mabel was BEYOND excited to have Nana Goat here and,
I KID YOU NOT, she didn't stop talking to her the entire time.
It was pretty funny. (and exhausting!) They watched Frozen
and Tinkerbell, played games, and Nana got to come to
Mabel's dance class. We even got to sneak away for a girls dinner
(Kelsey too!) at Zupa's while Nate got Elliott to sleep one night.

Nana brought all sorts of treasures for each of us in her
Mary Poppins purse, and we got to listen to her talk about
her adventures in life. She tells the best stories.

COME BACK SOON NANA GOAT!!
