Last Thursday night Nate took me on a surprise date to see Etta James in concert at Red Butte Gardens. It was such a beautiful night and we had a blast! We didn't know that you could bring food in so we went to dinner before. When we got into the concert everyone had coolers with all sorts of gourmet food! People had cutting boards out with rustic bread and imported cheese and olives, all sorts of cold beverages & organic looking fresh green salads. We are definitely going to bring the goods next time around! We were feeling left out so we got the most gigantic ice cream cones for dessert from a booth called Scoopology.

Etta was hilarious! She was a total sassy pants and would get up and shake it during every song! She and my Nana would totally get along. :)For her final song she sang "At Last" which was our wedding song - it was fun to hear it live--she can sing soooooo low! (the video was taking a million years to upload so you will just have to imagine it)
