Pioneer Day

{July 24th}
Our annual tradition: Head up the canyon for
the Kamas Valley Kid's Parade!
(you can see previous parade posts here and here)

Elliott just making himself at home.
In the parade.

City kids LOVE seeing the horses:

The best part of the parade: CANDY!

After the parade we always head over to the Kamas park
to check out the festivities.

{Train Rides}

Elliott wasn't too sure about the train when it started moving...he kept
looking back at me. Sweet boy.

We put Elliott down for a nap and got take out
 from the Cutting Board. Then after lunch we all went
over to my Aunt Koreen and Uncle Kim's property
in Woodland to play at their barn.
Future Farmer:

 Uncle Kim let us turn on the backhoe!

Elliott and Mabel were both exhausted so we came home
and got them to bed early. Of course we had to light a few
sparklers before Mabel went to bed.
(It wasn't even close to being dark! Sorry Mabel.)

Then later we met over on our neighbors lawn for fireworks.
Each family brings a treat and fireworks to contribute to the
pot. It was a great day and an awesome night!
THANK YOU UTAH PIONEERS!!

That looks like a lot of fun! I love the picture of the kids in the train and Elliott is looking back at you! So cute that he was actually nervous about something! I don't think I've ever seen him not be a dare-devil! And dang Jess, look at how long your hair is! Just flowing in the wind on the tractor!
